About

The Snowshoe’s defining white feet were initially an unexpected occurrence, first appearing in a litter born to a standard colorpoint Siamese. Their breeder, Dorothy Hinds-Daugherty from Philadelphia, found them appealing enough to cultivate this striking new appearance, achieved through crosses between Siamese and the American Shorthair. Highly intelligent, responsive, and full of character, these cats thrive in a home environment and generally prefer to keep their family within sight. Most Snowshoes form good relationships with other cats. Their even temperament makes them an excellent choice for first-time cat owners.
