Skookum

Place of Origin-US

Shorthairs

Weight : Weight-6–9lb (2.5–4kg)

About

A cross between the Munchkin and LaPerm, the Skookum inherits two striking characteristics: extremely short legs and a soft, wavy or curly coat that stands away from its body. The coat, whether long or short, is generally easy to groom and does not mat frequently. Initially bred in the US, the Skookum has since gained recognition in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Despite being playful and active, it remains a rare breed yet to achieve universal acknowledgment. With its agility, it runs and jumps just as effectively as cats with longer legs.
