Resembling the mountain bobcat from which it takes its name, the Pixiebob boasts tufted ears, a thick coat, a pointed face, and a powerful, fluidly moving body. Uniquely, polydactylism (extra toes on one or more paws) is permitted within its breed standard. Available in both shorthair and longhaired variations, the Pixiebob sports a richly colored, spotted coat that enhances its wild appearance. Despite its looks, this breed is entirely domestic in nature—deeply affectionate, playful with children, and accepting of other pets, the Pixiebob thrives in a family setting.
