The color combinations of this variation of the Cameo are nearly limitless. In addition to the shading and tipping that characterize the Cameo coat—where only part of each hair shaft is colored—the presence of bicolor and tricolor patterns makes this breed appear as though it consists of multiple different cats. Red is a commonly seen shade, but black, blue, chocolate, cream, and tortoiseshell (black and red, or blue and cream) also occur, often accompanied by extensive white areas. The striking contrast between the bright white patches and the deep, varying hues of color creates a stunning effect.
