Longhairs
Weight : Weight-6–11lb (2.5–5kg)
Originally called the British Angora, the Oriental Longhair was renamed in 2002 to prevent confusion with the Turkish Angora. This breed was developed in the 1960s to revive the silky-coated Angora cats, which were beloved Victorian-era pets until the rise of Persians. Breeding programs involved various longhaired Oriental breeds, including the Balinese, resulting in what is essentially a longhaired Siamese—sleek, elegant, but lacking color points. Energetic, playful, and highly curious, the Oriental Longhair enjoys family interactions but often forms a particularly strong bond with one person.
