Discovered in New Mexico in 1984, the Ojos Azules (meaning blue eyes in Spanish) is among the world’s rarest cats. Its striking eye color is unusual because it can appear with any coat color or pattern, in both or just one eye, including in its longhaired version. Geneticists are currently observing the Ojos Azules, as severe health issues, such as skull deformities, have been identified. Since only a few have been bred, little is known about this graceful and pretty cat’s characteristics, though it is said to be friendly and affectionate.
