Referred to as the Persian–Colorpoint in the UK, the Himalayan is the result of more than a decade of breeding programs designed to create a longhaired cat with Siamese-style markings. Retaining the Persian’s hallmark round face, snub nose, large eyes, sturdy build, and luxurious coat, the Himalayan is a loving companion that thrives on affection yet remains undemanding. Given the breed’s dense double coat, daily grooming is essential to prevent matting.
