Shorthairs
Weight : Weight-6–10lb (2.5–4.5kg)
A rare breed with a complex background, the Havana—initially called the Havana Brown—was originally bred in two distinct forms, both possessing a rich brown coat. In the UK, crosses between the Siamese and domestic shorthairs produced a version with the long, lean conformation of a Siamese, eventually classified as a solid-colored Oriental Shorthair. However, in the US, breeders omitted the Siamese from the breeding process, resulting in a cat with a rounder face and a less elongated body. Hard to ignore, the stunning Havana actively seeks attention if not given freely. This affectionate cat prefers to remain close to people at all times.
