The Chantilly/Tiffany traces its origins to a litter of chocolate-brown kittens born to two longhaired cats of unknown ancestry. Although once believed to have Burmese lineage, this theory has since been dismissed. The breed’s many name changes—Foreign Longhair, Tiffany, and Chantilly—led to confusion, and the dual name is now widely accepted. While charming in both appearance and personality, the Chantilly/Tiffany remains relatively rare. It thrives on human interaction but seeks attention subtly, using a gentle trill rather than loud demands.
