Shorthairs
Weight : Weight-9–18lb (4–8kg)
Despite the British Shorthair’s famously calm temperament, this particular variety serves as a reminder of its wild tabby-patterned forebears. Brown tabbies were among the first British Shorthairs displayed at cat shows in the 1870s, followed closely by red and silver variations. Today, the breed comes in a diverse array of additional colors, with three classic tabby patterns: the broad-whorled classic (or blotched) tabby, the narrower-lined mackerel tabby, and the spotted tabby. In the patched tabby variation, the coat features a secondary base color.
