Referred to as the Lowlander in the US and the Britanica in Europe, the British Longhair is the long-coated counterpart of the British Shorthair. Both breeds share the same sturdy physique, round face, and broad head, and they come in identical color variations. Not all pedigree registries recognize the British Longhair as a distinct breed, yet it is widely appreciated for its calm, easygoing nature and love of human interaction. Its coat, though long, is relatively low-maintenance and requires only moderate grooming.
