This charming breed is an offshoot of the Balinese, the longhaired Siamese relative, sharing identical breed standards in terms of body structure and coat texture. However, the Javanese exhibits a broader range of colors and patterns, which were introduced mainly through crosses with the Colorpoint Shorthair. Despite its delicate appearance, the Javanese is both agile and athletic, with a bold personality. Affectionate and communicative, this breed enjoys following its owner around and exploring every corner of the home. Unlike the Persian, its silky coat resists matting and requires only minimal grooming.
