A member of the Asian group of cats, this breed appears in four distinct tabby patterns: classic, spotted, mackerel, and ticked. These patterns, including swirls, stripes, rings, and spots, are displayed in a wide array of colors. The ticked tabby pattern, where each individual hair contains alternating bands of color, is the most common. Like all its relatives, the Asian Tabby blends the extroverted personality and muscular build of the Burmese with the calmer nature of the Persian Chinchilla. A wonderful family pet, this breed is steadily gaining popularity.
