This British breed was developed to create a Burmese cat with a variety of coat colors, including an all-black variant known as the Bombay. The latter is often mistaken for the American Bombay, which has a distinct breed history. Compared to its Burmese relatives, the Asian Solid may be slightly less energetic, yet it certainly makes its presence known with its insistent voice, particularly when seeking attention—which is most of the time. This affectionate and friendly breed follows its owner with devotion, much like a dog.
