Once known as the Burmoire, this graceful breed is a cross between the Burmese and the Burmilla (opposite). Among Asian breeds, the Asian Smoke has one of the most striking coats—a deep, often solid shade on the surface, with fur that parts when the cat moves or is stroked, revealing a shimmering silvery undercoat. With an outgoing nature, this playful and athletic cat is highly curious and loves to investigate. Asian Smokes are content as indoor cats as long as they have plenty of companionship, affection, and entertainment.
