The American Curl, originally longhaired like its founding ancestor discovered in California, later developed a shorthaired variant. This version remains identical to the original in all but coat length. Elegant in build and expressive in its large eyes, the American Curl is particularly attractive due to its distinctive curled-back ears. These ears start forming their unique shape within a week of birth, though the mutation is entirely natural. Known for its affectionate temperament, the breed forms strong bonds with its family and enjoys being involved in household activities.
